Abel Bayo grew up surrounded by art. His father was a sculptor and painter, and together with his mother, they opened an art gallery when they were just 20. Some of his earliest memories are in his father's studio, helping to polish sculptures and absorbing the atmosphere of creative work. Saturdays were for art exhibitions — a weekly ritual that shaped his visual language.
Despite this early immersion in the arts, Abel took a different path academically, studying mathematics with deep enthusiasm. But photography — ever since he discovered it at age 20 — became his true passion. After finishing a round of exams, he picked up a photography book... and never looked back.
Thirty years later, that initial spark has matured into a quiet devotion. Photography is now his daily companion, a way to explore light, emotion, and story — always searching for the next image that might speak to someone else.
